As a small business owner and mother of two daughters, Holly Hughes knows that Michigan is struggling to keep and attract jobs. Jobs are priority ONE, so that our children and grandchildren do not have to seek work elsewhere and can continue to call the Muskegon area home. We don’t want what we had in the 1980s—signs saying, “Would the last person to leave Michigan, please turn out the lights.”
We are judged by the way we treat our youngest and our oldest. Healthcare needs to be affordable and accessible for everyone.
As a former school board member, Holly Hughes understands that education is the key to a brighter future and higher quality of life in Michigan.
You deserve to keep more of your money to support your family. Lower taxes facilitate business with job growth. We are competing with other states for business. We need to establish an environment that encourages businesses to want to expand here while protecting needed infrastructure, emergency services and education.
Holly Hughes has actively sought clean-up dollars from the federal and state government for the many contaminated Super Fund sites in Muskegon. She was recognized with a special tribute at our State Capitol for her work protecting our environment.
